Update on Government Funding for Fiscal Year 2022

Congressional leaders continue to negotiate an omnibus FY 2022 appropriations bill as government funding is set to expire a week from today.

With government funding set to expire a week from today, March 11, 2022, congressional leaders continue to negotiate the omnibus spending bill that will fund federal agencies through September.  We understand that they have made progress in these negotiations, but some members have requested that the omnibus include emergency funding for several natural disasters across the country and the White House recently requested additional funding for aid to Ukraine and pandemic relief.  

As Congress and the White House continue to work on the outstanding funding issues, NTEU will continue to advocate against a shutdown and for leaders to quickly resolve differences and provide increased funding to agencies for the remainder of the fiscal year.  We will keep you updated on these developments.
